Drying and curing composite materials, medical technologies and printed electronics applications.
Darren, Head of Technical at Natgraph, began his journey with the company in 1996 through an industrial work placement from university.
Starting in the research and development team, he played a key role in tackling technically challenging applications and working on special projects. As control systems evolved, he shifted his focus to software development, specifically for Natgraph’s drying and curing solutions.
Currently, Darren is involved in multiple innovative projects. These include a heated oil plate web project for lamination, featuring a wide-format arched construction that ensures continuous web contact with the heating plates. This system is designed with viewing windows and access panels for easy monitoring and maintenance.
Another key project is a specialised stacking system for high-value, fragile solar material. This solution integrates stepper motors and grippers for precise, seamless handling and stacking.
Additionally, Darren is working on several integrated web applications, enhancing control systems and aesthetics to ensure seamless integration with customers’ existing drying systems.
With his deep expertise and extensive experience, Darren continues to mentor and develop the technical team across electrical and mechanical design, software and service. He also provides crucial support to the sales team, particularly for specialised drying and curing solutions for developing markets in composites, medical technologies and printed electronics applications.
His commitment to quality product development and innovation ensures Natgraph continues to strengthen its technical capabilities, delivering tailored solutions that meet customers’ evolving needs.
